What's wrong with "cheap" flowers? Flowers are just flowers.
Safeway actually has pretty decent flowers if the florist is decent (depends on location I suppose)

I have no opinion cause I have no idea how long you guys have been dating or what your situation is.
But Valentine's just another day, if he treats you well on every other day and does special things for you randomly, then I don't see why Valentine's is such a big deal.

If you're forcing him to do something, what's the point? Dropping hints would be borderline ok, but forcing is sort of meaningless. You can save money and be creative to! There are tons of things you can do to make Valentine's special w/o spending money.

btw i have a few friends who didn't do anything for valentines...either their bfs didn't like valentines and refused, or they both decided to keep it simple, or they were apart. i don't think its a big deal you chipped in for valentines day dinner. i'd think it was a nice gesture if my gf genuinely offered to chip in

Valentines Day is such overrated crap hallmark holiday..it doesnt help that my birthday is on the same day as well..I dont care for flowers..they will sit in a vase and look pretty for a few days then end up in the garbage.

Thankfully my so will be working at the resturant all day and night, so I probably wont see him...

Maybe I should borrow his car that day, and go do some shopping, pick him up in his car wearing nothing but sexy red lingerie, with the stockings with some sexy heels, and a trench coat to cover it all up...take him home and bang him till he cant walk..
