It boils down to "domesticated" animals vs Wild Animals. Pets are are viewed as loved parts of the family, not just animals. I worked for a slaughter company, and I had to pick the freshly killed pigs and young pigs. They were alive 20 Min's ago, then slaughtered gutted and delivered to stores. I was a driver / swamper, so I had to load them and unload them. I stayed for an entire week before I finally said I can't do this. Covered in pigs blood at the end of every knight. You would stick your finger into a leg, grab the tendon and thats how you would carry it.

the video also looks fake. The cat doesnt even make a sound when they supposedly hook it. In one of the scenes it looks like there is a harness for the cat that the hook is on.

i dont see how using a cat instead of a fish is more effective at catching game fish.. the point of kite fishing is that you want the bait to be ALIVE in the water and swimming around, attracting the fish. Fishermen aren't stupid and using a cat seems counterproductive as the cat would just drown in under 5 mins and your bait is now useless.
