Thanks man!

I wasn't expecting to buy a car this weekend, I was on the mainland for the fiancee's parents' anniversary so I figured I'd just cruise the automall and see what was out there. When I saw $26,860 on the car I got interested, and when they negotiated down to 25,500 I said DEAL!

You have to bring the wife and VISIT dammit! :p

Here it is, probably the cleanest it's ever going to be:

That hurts! You got it for absolute steal. To give you an idea, I paid MSRP, $32.2k March of last year.

You will really love it. The MS3 is a great mix of versatility and fun. It's not the best handling but it will absolutely eat up highway mileage. I've taken my car to Alberta and back twice as well as a couple of trips to Portland. Downshift into 5th and it has enough torque to pass anything. All the while carrying four passengers plus all their luggage.

Best of luck and shoot me a PM if you ever need advice or help.

Kev

I know you want to keep it stock, but an intake is a nice safe mod that will bring out the turbo whoosh a bit, while also giving you about 15-20whp.

Where did you buy the car from? I saw a black MS3 being prepped at the richmond automall late last week, wonder if it was yours.

Kev

damn 15-20whp from just an intake? thats crazy..

I guess you're too stupid to realize that HP gains on a turbo car are much easier relative to a NA.

It's not too difficult to get the car to 270whp and 300lb/ft of torque.

Take time to admire the car, and how clean and flawless the paint is right now.
Cause from this moment on, its just a matter of time before some asshole scratches it with his car, jacket, keys etc, or you get your first rock chip

Black paint FTL
But you got a sick deal!

No doubt.

I keep telling myself It's a daily driver and I can't get too attached, but I know I'm going to get choked if I see a door ding etc.

The car is already going in for paint work to fix a scratch on the rear driver side door that Signature Mazda is paying for.
