Conservative Federal Budget 2009

http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.html?id=1219571

the budget will be released tomorrow, but will the harper government and the new budget save Canada and the recession?

discuss

no budget could save the recession. any budget big enough to save it, would just cause one 2 years later as the country would be in so much debt and taxes would have to be tripled.

it is defiantly not a "Conservative" budget. which is a shame. Because the country shouldn't be going into so much debt. but without all the spending the other party's would vote them down. So basicly they are spending to save their buts, rather then spending to save the country.

but a coalition party would be spending (wasting) a lot more. so hopefully it doesn't get voted down.

both the NDP and Bloc said they would vote it down no matter what was in it... Which just shows how stubborn they are. They are in it for the power, not for Canada. At least the liberals are going to read it first before making a decision.

however the liberals said they were against any tax cuts that are supposed to be comming. LOL... try taking that issue to the polls. "we are having an electon because the liberal party rejected tax cuts to the avg. worker". That wouldn't go over very well to them.

Canada is not immune from the global economic meltdown and no budget can save us from it.

Although they can do a lot of things to cushion the fall, which they seem to be trying.

I gotta feeling there's gonna be a lot of fireworks tomorrow with Layton heading the charge.

Black SC2 01-26-2009 08:39 PM

Jack Layton is a fuckhead.

I was on the fence somewhat at election time, but with the way things are now, I'm glad I voted Conservative. I believe they are the best option for riding out the shit flood we're wading into.
