WTB in dash deck Hi i have a mitsubishi eclipse and i want a in dask screen deck anyone know what size screen i should get or if any one has one for sale please let me know thanx |
They all fit double din screens. What do you want the deck to do and what's your budget? Some screens have Navigation, Bluetooth, iPod control, remote control, amplifier control, high voltage outputs...they are marketed with a price attached to options like these. Are you going to have a subwoofer system in your car too? |
Oh yeah thats right thanx price range no more than 500$ yeah the car has two 10" type s in there , as for options navigation would be nice but i could do without i kinda want to add a rear-view camera to it. I think there was a jensen 7" one for sale on revscene would that work? i had a friend that works at future shop he told me there was nothing that could fit and there are no kits for that car to make the in dash fit maybe hes wrong but yeah im looking to spend no more than 500$ i don't really want to get a flip out but if i have to i guess i will. Thanx for the help appreciate a responce |
They have kits for all kinds and years of Eclipses. Double din is the format of choice for those cars. Your friend needs more education. Jensen would fit your budget, but, you might want to shop around a little more for a DD with a better name. Installation with the kit, wiring harness adaptor and labour is about $85.00, unless it's the amplified system, then it would be $120.00 What year is it? |
yeah thats what i was thinking there has to be something for it cuase i've seen them before but its a 98 GSX i think it does have a amp in there two becuase theres two subs in there. There is a current deck in there but face plate is gone so ima just have take whole thing out. If i want a rear view mirror cam on it is there a specific model or feature im going to have to look for in the DD, do they usually come with camera or its jsut and add on? |
A 98! Those are soooooooo double din! I've worked on many. It won't have a factory amp. If it has an aftermarket deck , it won't need a wiring harness adaptor. Depending on which kit they used, it may not even need a new kit. The only problem with those cars are: they have NO room for amps to hide; the firewall is a biatch to get through and the deck installation takes a while to do properly. DD decks 9 out of 10 times come with the allocation to do a back-up camera. I've got one in stock that a customer brought in that has a boatload of options and he only wants $400.00 brand new. I forget the name, but it looks really neat. So, if you want, we can have your whole system installed for less than your $500.00 budget price. You should come in for a look at that deck. I think that you'll be very impressed! |
