| google.com hacked?
Was going to post this in Computer Tech but I figured this section would get more traffic.
So.. has anyone run any searches on google.com within the past hour? All the results are listed as "This site may harm your computer." If I click any of the links google brings up I get taken to another warning page.
Looks kind of fishy.. the results are all trying to point towards another site stopbadware.org and apparently that's an initiative started by Harvard and Oxford computer scientists???

What the fuck makes you think you have the right to fuck with anyone's food? FOR YOUR FUCKING INFORMATION, the restaurant closes 10 mins after I get in, not 10 mins before. If the front of the line staff feel like serving me, then you're shit out of luck and you better make my food and make it right. You're just someone's bitch, don't act like you're the biggest motherfucker in town because you can fuck with someones food.[/QUOTE]

guess they fixed it by now
why would anyone hack it on a Saturday morning? I don't think too many ppl are cruising it...unless they were gonna catch the 10 a.m. in the east crowd...but you'd think a Friday/Saturday night would be more effective...

Why is it that when some general error occurs, people assume it's a "hack"?

Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia... they're all in afternoon/evening time periods. If there was a "hacker," it could very easily have been from any one of those places.

Google Search results in warning, 'This site may harm your computer'
Google says sorry for the goof.
If you did a Google Internet search between 9:30 a.m. ET and 10:25 a.m. ET on Saturday, you likely were unable to access any website in the search results list.
Google labelled all websites, even www.google.ca, as a malicious website with the warning "This site may harm your computer."
Clicking the warning took the user to a page which explained that "This warning message appears with search results we've identified as sites that may install malicious software on your computer."
Google later said the problem occurred because of "human error" and issued an apology.
Google flags search results with a warning message if a site is known to install malicious software in the background or otherwise surreptitiously.
During a routine update to a list of so-called badware sites, Google said a symbol was checked off by mistake that expanded the warning to all URL'S.
"This was clearly an error," said Google spokeswoman Marissa Mayer in a posting on the official Google blog. "We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our users, and to site owners whose pages were incorrectly labelled."
Google says it will carefully investigate the incident and promises more robust file checks will be put in place to prevent it from happening again.
