Quick question about BOVS

Bovs aren't setup or engine specific are they?

question is someone on CL is selling a bov i want, and he states that it's for a SR20, but i assume it's not engine specific so i can also use it on my future turbo KA right?

let me know thanks!

If its a OEM BOV then yes it is. If its an aftermarket OR a OEM that you are trying to fit into a custom set up, I would make sure you have all the flanges , pipes, hoses that are required to make it works and you have to make sure the PSI that you turbo produces doesn't exceed the capabilities of the BOV.

it's a HKS Bov. All i really need to do is make surei have the correct flanges then i guess.

And since i low aspirations for boost i'll be keeping it low so but i'll double check that.

Thank you.

yea he is probably just stating the fact thats its already welded to a pipe for that application. If you want to put it on your application you will need another flange or adapt that pipe to your application.

Berz out.
