what happened to the guy who threw the shoe at bush? i never followed up on the afterstory, but i heard he got beaten and ended up in this hospital.

fuck the shoe...his speech is actually fucking awesome.

I feel sorry that they didn't include any subtitle. He was saying China is not aiming to be
the biggest or dominating nation, he admits China is still behind other developed
countries, so China will still be a learning country. He also hinted that total capitalism
might not work in the future, governments around the world need to take more control to
the financial system...Then after the shoe hurled, he said "this dumbass way to protest,
does not prevent the friendship between Britain and mainland china" that's how he won
the applause at the end.

hmm, guess he didnt mention "how opressed chinese people are" how they veto against crap in the UN. or how they supporte genocide in african contries because of oil" very intresting.

he won applause, becuase most people were listening to him were chinese, (delegation, embassy people)(as per the video),

The guy is in jail. But he had so much fans after the incident, they built a monument of the shoe that was thrown at an Iraqi orphanage.

The monument is huge... and he is regarded as a hero after that incident.
