printable art

had a buddy ask me something the other day. and i didn't know how to answer him. so here goes....

he was looking for a place online where he can find paintings. i'm guessing chinese style paintings. of flowers, mountains, scenary etc....

after finding what he likes .... he wants to save that picture and bring it somewhere so he can get it printed out. i've never heard of anyone doing this. so i'm not even sure if this is possible.

anybody have any suggestions? i'm guessing he's gonna blow up the picture ... and get it framed. would places like Staples do this for you? he's looking for high quality prints.

staples would do it.. but their quality is shit.

i have no idea how big he wants.. but you can't just "blow it up"
it doesn't work that way. he will have to find a very high resolution image, and again it all depends on how big he wants the final piece to be

Kinkos is pretty bad too. They printed the wrong green for me!

Take it to a professional print shop. You should be able to google "print house" and come up with some good ones. I'll see if I can find the one my teacher used for our business cards.
