where do i find wiretaps? i know this may seem like a ridiculous question but i was wondering where i can find these blue wire taps to tap into the parking lights http://i14.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/90/cc/33d5_1.JPG places i've tried so far: canadian tire home depot super store and a couple of those random car accessories place - > parker + aberdeen |
Canadian Tire should have 'em in the automotive section. Home Depot should also carry 'em in the electrical department. If possible, try not to use 'em and instead solder the wire you want to attach. Never been a big fan of 'em as the cheaper ones can fall off and leave exposed wiring. |
Agreed with above. Try not to use them as they do tend to fall apart. Also, if the wire isn't thick enough, it doesn't quite "bite" into the wire causing a bad connection. They are for sure available at Home Depot (electrical section) and Canadian Tire (auto section, near the fuses and bulbs). |
Thanks guys maybe the ones in richmond was small and wasn't in the right section i'll go soldering instead |
Lordco will have it. If you are soldering make sure do a proper job with a thermal wire stripper like this: http://www.teledyneinterconnect.com/.../wirestrip.asp |
Futureshop uses those all time, probably 10 of those per alarm they install:D They should have a crap load... |
Lordco for sure |
