Exhuast manifold nuts grade problem My Megan 4-2-1 header for 97 LS is missing a M14 Nuts Will a Grade 8 M14 nuts will do work fine? Thanks @_@" |
should be fine.. you mind as well change all in one go.. the incremental cost is small and you get to know all of them won't break etc when you need to work on it again. |
I just called: Pacific Fastener Lordco Rona Canadian Tire They all don't have any Grade 8 or above of M14 standard thread NUT You might try our sponsor to see man |
try a sponsor. they should have stuff like this i had trouble finding some nuts and bolts for my exhaust and garage 5 had a nice selection. |
Fabory carries everything you need but i think they have a 50-100$ min order, that would be awsome if someone setup and account and we could combine orders. |
Ackland Grainger Just remember you should really find out what is the original strength of the nut.. replacing components with stronger bits is not always a good idea... it could mean other component could fail.. and since stronger still is more brittle it might snap off easier, especially headers have extreme heat and cold cycles. |
