You'll never get spam snail mail, because it costs too much to send. But as DragonChi mentioned, if you have any doubts about giving your real email, you can always use a fake email or make another email account at GMail or Hotmail or www.mailinator.com to use.

In general, expect freebies to arrive in 4-6 weeks... they don't send it out the day you submit it.
