Contacts fitting

Anyone know where the cheapest place to get contacts fitting? Also, is the fee usually waived if you order contacts from them? Thanks.

do you have a recent prescription.....?

i believe most optometrists ( i know it's the case for ours) won't do a contact lens fitting unless you have a recent prescription..

i also know for a fact that some optical places will dispense contacts w/o really any trainings or 'fittings'... some just essentially give you the prescription that's meant for glasses and not necessarily contacts.

I have a prescription from about a year ago. I called my optometrist and he wants about $50-60 to have me fitted.

Thanks BabyblooLexus. I went after reading one of the threads on RFD and got fitted yesterday. I don't have a membership and they didn't request it which was a bonus.
