Looking for a Calendar / Stickies Program

I'm looking for a desktop program which runs a calendar and a notes/stickies feature. I'm still running XP btw

Recommendations?

Not the world's best but at work, I use MS Outlook. It has a calender and notes/stickies option.

I do'nt want to keep MS outlook open it rapes every computer of resources.

Anybody recommend Google Desktop or Active Desktop Calendar?

i've been using active desktop calendar for about 3 years. it does the job so i would recommend it.

i use rainlender as well
i was trying to find a calendar program that can also sync with my nokia 5310 but apparently on MS outlook is available for that.

Only if i can put rainlendar on that.

well it's an extra step
but i think you can save your calendar (right click, manager, backup or export) into ms outlook
then you can just transfer it to you nokia

give it a try?

Rainlendar should be relatively light-weight, right?

I use Yahoo! Widgets with the Notes widget added on for "stickies" that I hide when I don't need them.

I just started using Rainlendar and I love it! Uses next to no resources, loads really fast, has alerts for time/day/event etc.

I'm trying out Rainlender right now. It's doing what it's intended for.
The custom layouts are all weird depending on the size of your monitor though. They need to get that fixed up
