D60 is what? 10mp camera?

I went and got a 7mp .jpg image printed 18"x24" or something around there and its still tack sharp...I could probably go a bit bigger with no issues.

How big are you looking to go?
Most custom framing places that do canvas transfers require you to have the picture you want in the size you want in order to do the transfer...

But then there are also some custom print shops that also offer canvas transfers and they may be able to do an enlarge for you and do the canvas transfer without having a full size print.

If you have a well exposed, well composed shot, then 36"x48" should be possible with the proper post-production & printing.
