Ridiculous battery life on Thinkpad http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6719/wowzg6.jpg finally i can get through an entire lecture without having to turn my brightness to 0 with wifi off. actually, now i can probably get through a whole day haha! and no, it's not a bug, the battery meter is hovering around 9h40 - 10h00! |
how many cells you got? 100? |
9-cell :D and the computer + battery only weights 3.58 lbs |
Which thinkpad do you have? I have the 14.1" T61 w/ a 6-cell battery and the battery life is ass! :( |
I say x200/x200s |
I have the X200 with 9-cell battery. |
damn, that is a long battery life! i have the T60... battery usually lasts for around 5 hours... |
those meters dont mean anything though. Mine usually starts with 8 hours...but i end up with 6.5-7 hours. |
that is nice, mine dies after i watch a flick |
i got a 12 cell battery on my laptop and only last me about 6-7hours... this questions me of how a 9 cell can last that long |

A lot of times, the battery gets completely uncalibrated... and after five minutes, it "thinks" it only has 5% battery left, so by default, Windows will go into hibernation. However, if you disable the low battery actions, you might find that the battery actually has enough juice to run for another hour or more. I've had screwed up batteries like that, where it will go from 100% to 5% in five minutes... and maybe another five minutes after that, it will say 0% battery left, but yet the laptop will still run for another hour and a half. |

Yeah man X200's are sick on battery life. Ive got a T400 with the 9 cell and fully charged with brightness on 3 at school lasts me like 7 hours. Thinkpads are amazing with power management. |
