How to adjust the Speedo after changing Rims/Tires? I have used the Tire Size Calculator http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp and it shows that my speedo might show around 5% faster than the actual speed. Is there a way to adjust that? or if anyone is bothered about this issue? Techincally, my milage would be higher than it otherwise would? |
Just leave it....unless you're running a A/M digital speedo with correction capabilities (which I assume you're not) then you're pretty SOL on this one. Pay to play, live with it! |
That tire calculator isn't that great, wasn't even close when comparing my wheels. also doesn't account for stretched tires. edit: why are you going with a smaller circumference anyhow? |
I was using 205/50R17. And planning to get 215/40R17.. I can see that it's a 3.3cm drop of the wheel height.. |
you can use 215/45/17 or 225/45/17, and it will be much closer, what car is it? |
