Something Wrong with Search I don't think the Search function is working properly, or something is configured incorrectly. Let me demonstrate... So I was trying to find a recent thread that I posted which I know contains the word "upper" in it. I did a global search, and got the following results: http://i41.tinypic.com/9isbq9.jpg Hmm, it's not there. And there is only one result that's dated 2009. But then, if I do an advanced search and only look in the Automotive Chat section, I get the following: http://i43.tinypic.com/vmuh4h.jpg As you can see, this search produced a lot more recent results, seven dated 2009. But shouldn't that second search be a subset of that first search? How is it that there are MORE recent results from the second search compared to the first search? Something is wrong with the global search. |
