First DSLR Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase my first DSLR. I have some friends working for Nikon and can get D90 for ~ $999 CDN. Do you guys think its a good move Or should i hold back and grab a simple Rebel XSI from Futureshop? |
WHAT! a D90 for 999? I'd take it. :) |
I think the Rebel XSI would be a better choice if its your first DSLR. It'll be easier to learn on. The price is good for the D90 though. |
Yes, But i can only get one lol. Anyways, Do you think its a good move? EDIT: How about I get D90, try it and if its too complicated I can re-sell or trade it for a Rebel XSi. |
Take the D90 and don't look back. The D90 is a sweet ass camera. Only reason to go Canon is because of the L lens, haha. |
I think you should get the D90 then...and then sell it to me if you find it too complicated :D |
Alphamale: Whats an "L" lens and YGPM! Thanks everyone, My D90 should arrive tonight..Can't wait! Hope its not too complicated. I like that it can shoot videos in 720p @ 24fps :D Finally, I can video those notorious chipmunks playing in my backyard. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...9bee57eb_b.jpg |
Good choice!!! Happy shooting!!! I wish I could have gotten the deal. I need some connections, lol:D:thumbsup: |

$999? Wow. Take it. That's about $100 more than the dealer pricing. |

I'm a Canon guy myself, but for that price, I'd say go for the D90 as well. Actually, my usual advice still applies, that you should go to the store and actually try out both cameras you're looking at and make sure neither of them drives you nuts (uncomfortable controls, confusing menus - everyone's preferences are different), but that camera for that price, it's hard to go wrong. |

the 24-105 is a solid performer on canon. Especially on their ff bodies. It's what nikon needs. |
ok thanks senna4ever |
