need help... s-video to TV doesn't work???
 
got a video card install yesterday... and the main purpose is that i can use my computer with a 19' lcd monitor and also want to watch some movies on the TV as well.

bought a video card with S-video out yesterday, and got it install, but still nothing show on the TV screen...

any help?

depending on the laptop, i believe you press the function button then F5 to switch the video mode
or read you're manual and see what button you press on your laptop to switch the video mode

make sure your computer is sending the output signal for the s-video and also for the tv to be on the proper input to receive the signal

boot pc with the cable plugged in. some cards needed to "see" the TV before it will make the output active.

^+1 - boot it with the cable connected *and the TV turned on*

The card's driver setup may also have a "Force TV" option if it doesn't detect the TV on its own (like Radeon All-in-Wonder does).

Once the card sees the TV, you may have to tell the driver to clone or extend the desktop to it, and there's probably an option for a "theater mode" or something similar that will tell it to send overlay video to the second output.
