Pontiac Solstice GXP...apparently it sucks

The Solstice not only has no space for hardtop, but it is
slower than the 370Z
handles worse than the 370Z
worse built quality than the 370Z
and last but not least, it is actually more expensive than the 370Z

i wonder what the discussions about new models are like in the boardrooms of american car manufacturers...

What do you base that on? I have driven and own more pontiacs that are alot better to drive that many imports.

When American car makers try to pull that Euro trick of giving you less bang for your bucks, but use the bucks for style, they fail epically.

G8, Firebirds, gtos, since the g5 and cobalt are the same, I have driven the cobalt SS turbo and it is amazing.

The GTO is awesome. Really wish they sold them in Canada. I drool over G8's whenever I see them. Love that car.

I don't see any issues with that, either car, they get your money. It's like Futureshop competing with Best Buy, go to either store and your money is theirs.

In the little roadster market, there's the Sky, Solstice, Miata, S2000 and at one time the MR2-Spyder... maybe even the Lotus Elise. The 350z and 370z are GT cruisers, they aren't competitors. Totally different class.

That's what a magazine says which I'm sure is not what GM had in mind when they designed it. At the moment, the GXP has no competitors. There are no 2 seater roadsters of that size and power for that price... well, maybe the S2000. Maybe if there was a Mazdaspeed Miata or something.

The 370Z is cheaper than GXP, I am not sure why you're arguing about the price? Unless you're trying to compare the GXP with Lotus Elise or Porsche Boxster. But that would be too expensive.

I'm talking about the combination of everything, not just the price.

Like littleDragon said, it isn't only the price that classes a car.

When I test drove one, it didn't spark confidence when one of the Tire Pressure Sensors went dead as I was doing the test drive.
