HKS Evo X faster than R35, R34 Z-Tune or Gallardo Superleggera

"One of the legacies continuously being created by tuning house HKS is the number of track records it has achieved with the HKS CT230R Circuit Time Attack Evo. The Evo is always a good base car to start from if one is looking for a razor-sharp handler to take on a race track.

A new car dubbed the HKS Lancer Evolution X, CZ200S is now being developed for the same time attack purposes. As with its predecessors most of the parts used for the CZ200S's are either sold off-the-shelf or available to customers as prototype HKS products.

The Yokohama Tyre Company will be expected to provide top rubber shoes for the CZ200S as it goes for a lap time of under one minute at the Tsukuba Circuit, Japan. Consider though that cars like the Nissan Nismo R34 Z-Tune, the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and a stock Nissan GT-R are yet to break the one minute barrier on that circuit.

Initial testing using new Advan Neova AD08 radial tyres yielded a best lap time of 59.495 at Tsukuba."

I would say that's good, but not that impressive.

IF you say you tuned a woman who had a higher top speed than a stock GTR R35 , I would be Impressed.

wasn't there a Civic type R that could lap tsukuba in under 1 minute?

This thing is basically just a BPU car. impressive

your statement is true but if you read the thread the evo is pretty much bpu and has full stock interior, 380hp with 4 doors is pretty impressive.

excuse my newbness but what does BPU stand for?

its also running AD08 only... not even A050R

wow not even using r-comp

track that takes under a minute to lap are usually small and full of turns, smaller the track is, the weight of the car matters more, put 380hp in a miata, it will out lap all of those cars. GTR and Gallardo is much heavier. you can't beat the law of physics.

BPU and everything associated with that term is stupid.

yeah I thought BPU is only used for supras.

Aren't they called "bolt ons"?
