Quake live
 
anyone try it yet? It's a free version of Quake that you can plays in your browser. The only down side is that theres a long wait before you can play because there servers are being hammered.

Try it it's actually really good. You have to install some software before you can run it.

It came out of beta a while ago.. and, for a browser based game.. its actually really good!

how long are the average waits? I just made an account and I queue at around 850.

I think it lets in 500 people every minute.

That was pretty stupid of you.

Anyway it's good. It plays just like Quake 3 ever did. However my problem is that it doesn't have a ping counter in the browser. That means finding a server for me is pretty much impossible.
