Valve just updated the game and you can now get your weapon unlocks via the usual achievement system.

The random weapon awarding system is still also in play.

usually normal servers dont allow idlers(afks will be kicked)
join servers specific for idling they usually use the maps achievement_idle
or something of the sort.

you can unlock weapons by getting achievements or if you play alot you will randomly receive an item which is why there are idle servers, while you idle, your "playing" by logging game time

i tried joining an idle server few nights ago and it said i didnt have the same map?

I run that program SteamStat. It simulates an idle and you don't even need to open up the game to do it.

Most of the achievments aren't that hard to get.

oh and also.... the old acheivment system is back, so you can unlock weapons that way aswell

you might not have that option turned on.

In game select options>multiplayer>advanced

You should have an option to turn on server downloads

PingDemons servers are frickin' awesome! They are hella fast for us local folks. We need some more people to play on the PLR maps!!

The 2fort 24/7 is the most popular server by far... The other ones i just switched those to a new web server the other day on a new ip, so that might be why they arent too busy.
