Stainless Steel Brake Lines Worth it for DD and the occasional Autocross? Mainly worried about having to check my lines more often for cracks and dirt issues. |
I run them and never check them and have never had a problem lol. There is no downside so far as I know other than it being Illegal to run them technically. Just make sure they aren't rubbing up against anything. Berz out. |
Awesome how a Goodridge and Russell ad appears on the post. I will be installing a set this Saturday. Will update on any dirt issues if any. |

You can purchase DOT approved ones. |
Also what about the dirt and cracks what's that about? haven't read anything about that. |
Yea I've never heard of dirt and cracking being an issue and it's illegal because your replacing them with NON DOT approved lines most times. Berz out. |
If you grab the teflon coated lines- you should be fine in regards to the dirt (dirt in the braids). After some research on Honda-tech, I went ahead with them. The general consensus being: If you keep up with servicing and maintenance- not a big deal. For $100, I don't think I will be kicking myself. And yes, you can find many DOT approved lines. Not too sure about ebay stuff. |
What car are these for? It will help in auto-x btw. Less pedal force will be absorbed into factory rubber lines expanding. |
