Any 5th gen Prelude owners? Thinking about getting a 5th gen prelude ( auto ), any problems with these cars at all? Only things I know is that the auto/triptronic has some issues and can fail if pushed hard, and the egr valve tends to clog. Cheers |
Learn how to drive stick:joy |
Learn how to drive 5 speed and it's no joke. Auto/trip is a major headache to have, dont think you would want a 2,000 price tag of a new transmission. Even a new transmission doesn't guarantee problem free. Otherwise it's a reliable car if it has been taken care of. There's a few prelude's site so take a look, it's useful. http://www.preludepower.com/forums/index.php http://www.preludeonline.com/ and local http://www.vancouverpreludeclub.com/forums/ it's down right now. |
The problem I could think of about the 5th Gen Prelude is the age of the car.. It's a good car, nevertheless |
its a 2000 with 120k kms on the odo. I know how to drive 5sp, just can't find a decent one within my budget. |
buy mine then...... |
used to drive one and hence the name super slow ss(sport shift). :p that auto transmission is pretty slow and takes a lot of power from the car. I would recommend manual, it is also easier to sell(higher price too). Most of the demand is younger driver looking for a sporty ride. |
