what about that wht monster miata vs that brown guy in a dodge stealth |
^ i actually remeber that! lol ill admit i was a highschooler at the time, but i came with other tuners who actually knew their shit rather then just to come and drink etc. fuck i remeber one time down at that river road the one place where everyone would park there that had that one little street light, the street light had been flickering on and off the whole time everyone was there, and when a couple older domestics ran right near the end where they turned around, the light flickered out so the 2 guys coming back down the strip had no idea where the starting line was fuck i remember the one guy had to slam on his breaks and almost went in the ditch because the light came on at the last second and he realized he was about to hit a bunch of ppl lol fuck |

Remember the dude <I know his name> in the wheelchair in the GMC Yukon? He had something else before that, but he had some cool mods done to his SUV. I may be stretching the truth a bit here, but I think he drove with his mouth or some joystick because he was a para or quadripelegic (some kind of spinal cord injury). |
264th Glouchester <sp?> was the best place. River Road was OK, except for the huge dip in the road at the end. Bejeezus, I cracked my head on the roof of the car when I went airborn once. There was another road closer to Port Kells that was kinda funky. It was like Colebrook - very narrow. Fog city. I believe that was also called River Road........... nope, just checked google. It's 102B Avenue. Only the people who hated the crowds went there. |

I was there every single weekend... was part of a mustang crew but i was repping the civic back then.. nitrous fed EF lol. I used to punk mustangs all the time. What was the ticket they started giving out for being there to watch?? Spectating or some shit? Berz out. |

I never went to PK, mainly went to Iona, Deltaport, NTW, Coquitlam behind home Depot, and the old and new Minnam where the ITR was filmed racing the Ferarri. |

When we go to Timmys in PK, we sit around and talk about cars and mods and chicks....... actually, we never talked. We just watched. I think we should form a PK group thing. I have no freaking idea what groups are all about, but is it like a private discussion thing? If so, someone should start one. I'm sure the rest of RS does not want to hear about people PK ing each other. Enough has been said in this thread already, no? |
Damn I feel old. PK was very late in my days. I still remember Delta and Super ports, Boundary/Marine Drive and even Viking way in Richmond. |
Purple Kush |
Thats what u get when u slam your ricebox thinking it will help you race in a straight line. Hopefully it knocked some sense into you. Quote:

lol, this thread attracts all the old fucks on here. Including me. |
OMG!! Port Kells!! *sigh* We use to meet at the Java Hut and hung out with all the F-Body guys and the occasional Stangers. I remember when they put the fence up and ppl were so pissed. Ahh memories... |

I remember showing up there in the beginning when there were about 10 cars total, and all were actually racing. I had the b16 EG back then, and all it took was a few races for people to stop challenging me. Back when having a twincam civic would strike fear into the hearts of domestics... :lol I remember bringing the WRX wagon out shortly after picking it up, and nobody knew what it was. I raced one guy in an integra, and destroyed him. That was the last night it was fun at PK. The next weekend, some cunt from Maple Ditch showed up with a pistol and shot into the air. That was the end for me, and a lot of other racers too. fucking suburban white trash..... |
damn I wish I coulda went to pk. Sounded interesting |
I think my fav place though was Hammersmith. That place had hundreds of people and lineup 20 pairs deep. Lots of lighting and a perfect road. You know... of all the times I went (a fucking shitload) I only ever saw 2 accidents.... One was a car going into the cornfield at Boundry Bay and the other was an idiot on a street bike stunting at 264th and running into a car. For the amount of times I raced and the amount of races I saw .... How you can say thats an "epidemic" of society that needs to be cracked down on? Berz out. |

It still does it's just that these days... people expect civics to be fast. Berz out. |

I still remember the time the R34 from Seattle showed up Annices Island and everyone was on the phone trying to get a certain first gen Talon out to race him. |
Usergroup made :D Go there and lets continue discussion there :D Berz out. |
ok who remembers Hammersmith, by the old Z95.3 radio station??? only old drag dinosaurs need reply lol! EDIT: oops Berz beat me too it man i remember that dude (with baby blue teg) who went into a ditch on the way to the YVR airport/garbage treatment drag strip then the cops came and blocked off the road, subjecting everyone to a 3 hour wait to leave. which incidently didnt even put a dent into the drag scene. next weekend same shit lol. i knew it was time to quit when highschoolers and their JB GF's started showing up and throwing empty beer bottles on the road. just too heaty. i have to say i had a blast for a few years. good times and good friends. Turbo out |
Holy shit! GVA had a cool scene that wasn't just poseurs? Looks like I'm 8 years too late too =( |
Sigh the good old days. Less than 5% of the board knows about PK now :(. I remember when RS had a meet to cruise down to PK but it got stopped by the police so people just ended up doing their own thing. Good times |
I remember going to jack's loft to meet up then usually end up racing at Minam, mitchell island, annacis island or NTW (National Tire Wholesale). |
Aaahhhh the good old days... :D Going from spot to spot, the excitement of seeing your buds win races, the adrenaline rushes from racing and wondering if and when the cops were going to show up, oogling all the sweet rides and one of my faves - the smell of burnt rubber and VHT, meeting and chatting with all the good people and seeing the sun come up on your way home.
