doggy train just wondering what do you guys use to train your new pup a trainer or those training dvd videoÉ.....my questionmark is now éééé.... thanks |
wat? |
Do you use a Dog Trainer (one you pay for, I'm assuming like Cesar whatshisname) or a dog training DVD. I think that's the question here. I just did the training myself when I had dogs. Then again I was like 12 and couldn't afford puppy classes. I used books from the library. What sort of dog do you have? |
thanks Inaii thats exactly what I was trying to say..haha. I just got a sheltie and he is 9 weeks old now. thanks |
If you can afford a puppy class they are beneficial. After that I would just continue on your own. The tools you learn there will help you train everything else. |
You can definitely do a lot of training yourself... but of course, it could be beneficial to get professional help as well. We got our chihuahua when she was almost three months old, and she's a little over six months now... and we've done all the training ourselves. She's fully paper trained (at home, anyway) and she responds to many commands... sit, lie down, head down, beg, hand shake, other hand, roll over, bang bang, smelly... and she's very good for the most part. I guess it helped that she has a very good temperament to begin with... she is super friendly to everyone, even those she meets for the first time. Don't get me wrong... it is a lot of work to teach the dog stuff... but if you have enough patience, most can be done on your own. |
what command is bang band and smelly? I need a fun trick to teach my dog. My dog humps a leg of person when i say " Kobe" |
