Steering wheel question

Hi, i regularly drive boats and when doing so i use something called a brodie knob or a suicide knob which is attached to the steering wheel. you might know what im talking about if you have ever driven a forklift. well the whole point of the thing is to give you extremely crisp steering. so what i was curious about is whether or not it is illegal to attach these to your cars steering wheel. i know that people use them on there trucks for using trailers and such. i was just thinking it would be fun to put them on something that likes to go side ways if you know what i mean. anyways give your input. thanks alot ...

yeah unless you are handicapped don't add that crap to your car..... how many turns lock to lock on a car anyway!?

It's only illegal if it's installed in an unsafe fashion.

Why am I not surprised that this question came from an Islander?
