Eric, any idea what sort of gear oil they use? I'd highly suggest you get it flushed and change it with something a little more winter-friendly. Hell, I'll come up this weekend and help you do it!

well I just called and the guy said they use standard 75-85 gear oil so it may not be the problem. They want to see the car but they need to see it on a cold morning, which doesn't really work living in squamish and being 45 minutes away haha.

idealy I'd just like some redline MTL in there, but as he said, there may be another issue in there and they want to see it before I start screwing around with it.

also I don't want to pay for it. $12/L is pricey!

Test drove the Genesis 3.8 today, it was really responsive, decent brakes, stable steering.
The powerband was narrow for a V6, it loses power when you go over 5000rpm.
The front seats were great. The rears seats are horrible, no head room at all and Im only 5'7"

Are those numbers at the wheels or the motor?

and that kink is interesting, I had mine up on the hoist for the first time yesterday and was puzzled by the kink as well.

Time for a 3"!

Jesse I presume haha.

It'll have a bunch done by canada day including a 3", and we'll have more people up there and possibly a boat, so we don't have to drink in that lakeside park haha.

Ye probably but it has lots of room from the exhaust to the bar thing so you could probably do a proper exhaust

I just got mine on Saturday, the 3.8 version, and so far I am very impressed regardless of manufacture they did a great job with this car. Only time will truly tell but my first impressions are very good and they did a lot of small things to make the interior very user/driver friendly IMO

I got the Bathhurst Black and it goes in tomorrow for full tint and new 19" wheels. These are them here, I am very excited to see what they look like on it. Lowering will happen once the products are available.

^ congrats!

the 3.8 should be a nice unit to have. It's what Mitsu should have done with their own engine in their own Eclipse instead of the current front drive config.

I hope you don't put those rims on before lowering it, it's gonna look real fugly man... I haven't seen a genesis coupe on the roads yet, but if i saw you with those rims on stock suspension, i'm going to be like "dayum that's fugly"

Well I guess that's why I don't care what people think of my car

There is no way I am waiting 6-8 weeks before the suspension comes in. I phone Eibach and they don't even have them to be shipped for another month or more.

at least eibach has a part number out already. so does H&R

you could probably get something decent send overnight parts from Korea, but that would be more moneys than worth it probably.
