His cantonese rhymes suck..

bbbj 03-05-2009 03:42 PM

Its good that Jin is trying, but it just makes him look more like a douche.

RenoMan 03-05-2009 04:17 PM

He definitely killed some peeps on freestyles back in the states. HOW the fuck would he be crown hall of famer on 106.

heres the single from his rr label. i think its pretty good just the marketing wasn't done right . imagine what he has for ideas for his rap is amazing, cus he obviously cant rap about gang shit and money.
same goes for eminem

LOL @ honger rap.. yo yo yo!

InvisibleSoul 03-05-2009 04:22 PM

LoL... it is pretty impressive that he can rap in two languages though... you have to be uber fluent in a language to be able to throw up rhymes like that on the fly...

moomooCow 03-05-2009 04:31 PM

I liked Jin when he battled Verse on smackdvd ---

Good for Jin for reppin oversea born chinese, why not tap a market that could potentially pay off in the long run

iPee 03-05-2009 06:34 PM

jing 03-05-2009 06:52 PM

After watching that clip with him and Justin it's evident that his (English) freestyle has gone to shit

His English stuff is good. I saw the vid to ABC and thought WOW it's going to be awesome! Then I got the album and went wtf ahahahha ABC's his only good Canto track, IMHO. :(

I have to agree. To be able to think that fast, not only in English, but Cantonese, he really studied the language. Its almost genius. Cantonese is not easy to learn compared to most other languages and to be able to put together those rhymes, its very good. HK has never seen lyrics like that before. The lyrics are clean and clear. Unlike some guys like Edison Chen climaing to have a true rap album. Id like to see him do what Jin does.

You bet. There isn't any other reason for him being the best-selling rap artist of all time with only 5 albums. Theres better lyricists out there, dont ask me to name them though.

no quarter 03-06-2009 12:01 AM

He's there making a living being a novelty act.

TRDood 03-06-2009 01:03 AM

i can understand 95+% of Jin's rap.
those FAMA and 24herb rap is garbage man.. they repeat the same shit everyline and makes no sense.

pretty amazing how he can just wing whatever he pleases and make sense LOL

exactly, fama dudes only memorize the lyrics, they don't make their own shit.

Jin has talent, but hongers don't really know what's that all about

trip 03-06-2009 05:33 AM

He sounds more and more Honger now. It's funny, but yeah, you can totally tell he's really enjoying it.

You can also tell from the shows that HK still doesn't get it and ain't ready for this stuff hahaah

EDIT: Coincidentally, the last time I was in HK I had Jin on my playlist the whole time and was blasting it on the MTR bwahahaha his first album and the Emcee's Properganda, I believe it was. :)

m4k4v4li 03-06-2009 01:21 PM

yo i loved that freestyle

why all the hate on jin, so what he can't put out a proper track that will sell, but ask yourself how many of the mainstream rap artists can spit freestyles off the dome in 2 languages and battle rap
ya not many
