I saw an article this week on sledge hockey. Those sticks have sharp metal teeth at the end of them so they can push themselves around the ice. Apparently they're occasionally used against each other.
I'm guessing they're strapped down to the sledge...otherwise I would have just gotten out of the sledge and taken care of business if I were them.  | |
