HELP!! NHL 09 Problem (xbox 360)
 

So recently my NHL 09 has stopped working on me. My xbox360 constantly says the disc is "dirty and unreadable" but the disc is clean as hell. And to make matters worse this is the second NHL 09 that has stopped working on me. Same thing happened the first time as well but it was scratched up so i thoguht that was the reason but this time the disc looks brand new. I went to the xbox./support website and it said maybe its the memory unit?? But the rest of my games work fine. Any ideas??

Clear the cache of your xbox. I forgot the process, but look it up. It happened to me, and I did that and it worked out fine.

is this why xbox is called shitbox ?

i have the same problem too. I also tried clearing the cache and i still have problems.

same thing happend to mine. Now it is sitting in my room collecting dust. I got my copy from a friend who works at EA so i couldnt really return it either... :( i will look up this cache clearing thing.

it seems alright rioght now but im only through one period haha, how many games did you get in before it came back teaoh?!

for mine, sometimes i could play a couple games in a row without it crashing.. the most common time to crash is just after i pick teams or their jerseys. I have given up on it.

I rented this and had the same thing happen right out of the box. It wouldn't even load the game. I have found with Tiger Woods it freezes as well. I wonder if EA is cutting back on the testing of games because to have a major issue like this go out to the public sucks. If you save the game to your xbox harddrive and then play the game from there it solved the issue for me.

my buddy's did that right from brand new. he had a brand new XBOX and tried exchanging the game 3 times. cleared the cache and followed several other troubleshooting proceedures. spent days on the phone with EA and Microsoft and in the end, both parties just said "oh well, too bad." apparently its a huge widespread problem

sometimes i can make it through a period but now i can barely make it to the team selection.

Load the game to the harddrive and try playing it from there rather than the disc.

anyone noticing their online play for 09 360 skips? almost like a lag like feeling, but its not lag.

My XBOX has no problems.
