but generally, most cats in North America got all the good stuff to eat so
they don't need to. Feral cats do.
but cats will generally play with mice/rats/rodents and one of the favourite things that cats will do is to catch them with both paws and fling the rodents into the air, watch em fall, poke them with their paw after and repeat till it's dead.
my grandparent's cats would step on the mouse tail, so it can't go anywhere. Then let it go and step on it again. Once the cats get bored, they will kill it
