not restricted to class 7. if they implement the EDL as a permanent program all the DL's will be like this... or at least they were supposed to be hahaha


there is an RFID scanner at the border that you hold your license up to, much like the nexus card. but it is only on the canada -> us side.

and the signal i would presume is very weak so have to be within a foot or so, or have a very sensitive receiver. and because they know some people are very paranoid about stuff like this, they gave us faraday sleeve for the card.

If it's the 2nd one, I'm going to renew earlier just so that I can stick with the current design that we have now.

well my EDL expires next year jan, 9 more months to go, then i have to wait another 6-8 weeks for them to make it

Thankfully I don't have to renew for years and years. Hopefully by the time I have to renew, there will be a redesign that doesn't look like something that was shit through a dog, eaten by the same dog, then shit back through again.

I received my newly designed DL in the mail two days ago, and it actually doesnt look as bad in person. I didn't know they had a new design so it was quite surprising at first. But the more you look at it, the more it grows on you and now i actually think its an improvement to the old one.

Plus, the added security on the card is pretty awesome.

I ordered a class 7 today. I should prob get it in a few weeks or so.

Why the fuck do they decide to put whales on everything in BC? Its not even the provincial animal or anything... there are whales everywhere at the airport, whale on the Canucks jersey, and now a whale on the identity card!

It's not only whales.. We have a lot of other ugly things all over the place that doesn't represent us at all.

it wouldve been nicer if thye put the canucks whale on it and colored the licence canucks color cant get more canadian than having a hockeys team logo on your licence
