few quick compustar alarm questions I have an old cm3000 alarm that I bought from a&b sound in 2001 and had in my thunderbird at the time. When I sold that car for parts I basically cut the whole harness out of the car to get the alarm so its still complete. I plan on installing in my wagon in the upcoming weeks. It originally only came with one fob...a blue 2 way model number R7000 that I broke then lost. Pictured here http://pictures.kyozou.com/pictures/_8/7570/7569121.jpg I also have in my f350 a compustar alarm that hasnt been used since I bought it the truck. It appears to be all hooked up and ready to go though. Im just using the stock alarm currently. The model number on the brain of this one is CM3000a V.3. Im assuming this is just a newer or upgraded version of my other cm3000. 1) Am I able to program any compustar remote onto these alarms? The newer 2 way styles are a lot easier to find and more aesthetically pleasing than the R7000. Aswell as maybe just finding a cheapo 1 way for spares Like this one 2 way http://i.oodleimg.com/item/1184505261_1l.jpg 2) If Im able to use the newer style 2 way remotes...are there models with less issues or that people prefer over others? 3) Thirdly can a sponsor of this site the deals compustar please pm me a juicy price on a 2 way remote and on a 1 way aswell. Thanks |
you can use new compustar remote on older comustar alarms, but you have to change the antenna. I can supply you remotes but the antenna will be hard to find |
