Training wages So if one of my staff has worked for me for around 300 hours (at regular pay, above minimum wage) and wants to go to mcdonalds, what does mcdonalds have to pay them? are they paid the training wage until the end of the 500 hours (is that how long?) hours or because they've already had a job, or are they (mcdicks) forced to pay regular wage? I hope that makes sense. thanks! |
Fast Food places have raised their wages, and usually add benefits because they need to retain staff. MacDonalds is one of the better ones because they promote their emplyees. Gives them something to work towards or something. There's quite a few levels of training. Luckily I've never had to work in fast food though (worked in a cafe many moons ago...never wanted to work in the food industry again after working the dish pit!)... I just know that much because I knew someone that did work there right through university. Made not bad cash...a lot better than I thought he would make anyways. |
lol that didn't really answer the question.... as far as the training wage goes, i believe if you've already been paid min wage, you can't be paid the training wage, but i will double check. |
