E. coli warning for some beef sold at Thrifty Foods stores |
Holy crap! I'm glad I haven't bought meat from thriftys for a while. |
meh, if you bought some beef there from the times indicated take it back and get a refund. Not a big deal, no one has been infected so why make a huge deal about it. |

What about the people that had already consumed the meat and now found out they could have gotten seriously sick? If I was in that position I'd personally be feeling a little angry. Saying "Oh well, no one's gotten sick (yet), it's no big deal" is kind of the wrong attitude. |

It also hasn't been proven yet that the meat does have e.coli, some preliminary test warned there could be, but a bunch more testing needs to be done. I've had ecoli before and it did suck, but I was camping, it was dark out, and I didn't notice my burger wasn't cooked in the middle. Stupid me. I learned my lesson and cook my ground beef thoroughly. |
I had 2 burgers on sunday made with Thrifty's ground beef. As of Thursday night I am still free of bloody diarrhea. |

I have eaten probably 5-6 pounds of ground beef in the last month from thrifties. I make big lasagnas / pastas and portion it out so I have lunches for work throughout the week. I've been totally fine. On a side note, I've weened myself off of coffee by drinking green tea. 1 month w/ no coffee |
