Ticket scammers get arrested Just saw this story on King-5 news. Kind of a good news story you don't see very often. A mom was looking for tickets for her 8 year old daughter to see Taylor Swift. She looked on Craiglist and found 4 tickets for $75 each. She met with the seller in a parking lot and exchanged cash for tickets. After the sale, her mom didn't feel right about something. So she stopped at a ticketmaster outlet to check the tickets. They were fake. So the mom came up with a plan. She asked someone else to get in touch with the same seller to pretend they wanted to buy more tickets. Only this time, when the seller showed up in a parking lot, they cops were waiting them. The cops found a bunch of other fake tickets in the seller's car. The seller was charged with forgery and theft. Kind of nice to hear that. |

This is another reason why I stick with RS. At the very least, we have a feedback section where you can more or less get a pretty accurate background of a seller. You can see who gave them feedback and their join dates and find more validity in that. |

Whenever I buy tickets, I meet up at Ticketmaster for verification purposes. |

I've never had a problem but you never know. I love it when I meet at the sellers house and he's watching me check out the tickets and gives me the assurance of "don't worry they are real" and I look at him and reply "don't worry I know where you live". The reaction on their face is always priceless. But of course a seller selling fake ticekts would never meet you at his crib i guess. |

Hmm, I wonder how good the fake tickets look... I've never given it much thought. |

 fuck scammers |

Does Ticketmaster really verify ticket authenticity for you? I thought they have a policy on their website stating they don't do this. I just bought Kevin Smith tickets off Craigslist a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it works out ok, I asked for the seller's drivers license to confirm their identity, and I also know where the seller works. |

This was a pretty clever plan. Good job for the mom. |

dealing within the revscene community has always resulted in smooth transactions. feedback implementation was a brilliant idea. if i put something for sale on CL and RS simultaneously, I always sell to fellow members before CL. |
