	        | Anyone got the 411 on this STI fS?

So I've been in the market for an STI for like a year and a half but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet because well.. just haven't found one I liked.
My preference is blue before white not really big on gray. Wondering if anyone knows anything about this car before I go all the way out to langley to take a peek at this ride. Would be great if someone could give me details incase its just a waste of time. Looks like its been modded a bit which I don't mind.
What I am concerned about is a) the price b) accidents. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/ctd/1070746189.html
If anyone could give me the scoop on this car or knows anything about it

sorry, I couldn't say why it isn't sold yet. but looking at the tiny pics, it isn't that tastefully modded. |

thats from Wolfe Subaru. you can see it has no plates, and all the new subaru's in the background. that's probably why they haven't properly listed the mods, because they don't know.

JUST came in a few days ago (work at Wolfe). Sick, sick car. Due to the lack of cats on the aftermarket exhaust on it (looked like HKS ti carbon) the stock exhaust was put back on. From what I heard, it was meticulously maintained by the previous owner. Has a RockeyRally decal on it so I dunno if it had work done there or not. Super nice car, MIGHT be able to get them down another grand....maybe. It's priced very nicely considering what it came in at (will not under any circumstance say what it was). And for the incorrect listing of the extras, salesmen make up these ads, and they usually don't know lots about aftermarket stuff on cars. Hood is in pretty good shape, little nick here or there, and some slight inconsistancies with the weave of the CF. Overall though, definately drool worthy.

Took some pictures of it today, will post them when I get home. It drives super nice, has a boost gauge as well as a digital A/F gauge. Owner kept aftermarket exhaust.

This was exactly what I was looking for. If you could get some bigger pics up I would be really stoked to see them. I'll be coming to take a look at the car Monday. Do you know if the previous owner had done any mods to the engine?

just as I suspected!! US model! I'm also in the market for an sti, white before blue though and specific to 2006 for the stability control! For that price, I would buy it if it were a canadian model
at this point, if nothing comes up by summer, I will |

Yes it is a US model, speedo in MPH and mileage in miles. Ad says it is lowered, not sure exactly what with, but I'm pretty sure they have it written down somewhere. You might bring up that it's a US model and make a fuss to get a deal Never know unless you try haha.

I have a USDM STi and I haven't had any problem with it at all. You can also tell that it's from the US from the temp gauge which is in Fahrenheit. I personally think if your shopping for an STi or something similar like an Evo8 or 9, I strongly suggest taking a look across the boarder. For the exact same model car (06 STi) you can probable save a good 7-9K CAD if you shop across the boarder.
If your seriously considering the car, why not give Rocket Rally a call and ask if they actually dealt with the car before. They are one of the best in the business for Subaru tuning and are highly experienced.
Its low millage at least.
