Driving Schools in Vancouver/Lowermainland Hey, I've did my search in this forum and I found some results, but I need more feedback before I sign up with a driving school. I want to get my money's worth so I need feedback on good driving schools that have reasonable prices and instructors. I am NOT going to spend $700 for 10 lessons, and later finding a better deal. I have an L and I drive about 1 - 2 hours a week. I'm currently reading the driving books, so I hope I don't have to invest TOO much to get an N. I've heard that Young Drivers are good but are very expensive (is that true?) and read that Perfection Driving School has pretty good rates. I am look around $20 - 30 dollars an hour, otherwise a good driving package ($100 - 500). I hope to hear a reply from someone who can help me out. Thanks! |
$20-30 dollars an hour? My friend just took lesson, the last one was $32 an hr now... she's taking at $35 an hr. |
I did some kind of package with BestWay... if your a student they give you some discount too! I think the discount was like no tax or something... |
How about private instructors?? As I know a good one. He charges $32 an hour and he's a certified instructor. |
+1 for Perfection Driving School |

My bad for sounding too cheap, I don't know what the current rates are these days with driving schools. I guess $32+/hour is a standard nowadays. Keep the posts coming! I appreciate the feedback. |
Go with YD. You will end up saving more money when you learn to drive properly and not crash. |

Being taught anything from a teacher/instructor/professor/dad/anyone. About anything be it how to drive, how to ski, even high school math. It comes down to are you willing to learn?? And are you able to learn from whom your being taught?? Do you believe/know/understand what they are teaching you? Is it fact or fiction to you? |

Does anybody know of a place that teaches stick shift? |
YD does |
you dont take yd for the lessons but more so icbc thinks you have gotten good lessons. if you get lessons from a good place you will pass unless you make dumb mistakes. go with no lessons and you will almost certainly fail. and for the most random and stupid reasons. |
i used a private instructor. i had 2 one hour lessons. one was 2 weeks away from the test ands he tells u to practice like that for the 2 weeks. the second one was on the day of my test ended the second my N test started. i also got to use his car. in total his services costed me $150, i see most ppl pay $32 an hour while i paid $50.....not too happy about that but at least he was a good intsructor, i passed the first time, and i am a WAY better driver since i took it. |
