XBOX 360 Help(Power Supply/Block) I will start off by saying that what I did was probably stupid. With that being said here is the situation. Just got XBOX 360 delivered to me in Vietnam from Canada. I was quite enthusiastic to play and plugged in the system with out thinking about an adapter. Heard a slight pop sound when plugged in and now the power supply has no light when plugged in. Im guessing i blew it but would this have any effect on the XBOX? Can I simply buy a new power supply block then use an adapter this time? |
i dunno if vietnam is 240v.... but the north american 360 power supply is 110v only. good luck finding a 240v power supply on its own. i couldn't even find one for sale separately in hk and there are 3 different versions depending on which system you got. xenon, zephy and jasper all have 3 different power supply |
buy a 110v and then a 240->110v power inverter |
Vietnam is like 240 or something. I can just get a converter but I am not sure how messed up the supply block is. Im hoping that once I get the converter it will be ok. If not it is it pretty simple to get another supply block? |
no one sell the power brick seperately and urs is probably fried |
you can buy the supply block from microsoft personally, and yea get a converter dude LOL you totally pwned yourself without thinking of getting a power converter or adapater |
if you know anyone with eletrical knowledge nearby, get them to pop the old one apart and take a look inside, hopefully there's a fuse or something. |
there should be a fuse close to the power cable side... |
fs has the power blokc by itself its made by mad catz |
I'm pretty sure you can easily get a 3rd party power supply in Hong Kong. They aren't cheap though. If you really want, I guess I could send one to you. PM me if you want. |
