Brushless Motor For RC Car
 

How do you choose the right brushless motor for an RC car? Where does one learn about these kinds of motor, particularly for RC cars?

Search google for forums just like RS, but for RC cars.

Learned a pant load about what the hot setups are for my RC cars.

or just grab the closest Castle Creations brushless system for your scale and a Lipo battery and let her rip... seen it on an RC8T conversion and it goes 45mph on grass, prolly faster on asphalt... and accelerates like mad... my next upgrade for sure.

brushed STOCK motors are STILL faster than brushless STOCK, but u must 'lave' constantly

but for 19T and Modified, Brushless is faster...

Okay, thanks for all the info. How are brushed motors faster than brushless? Brushless seem to have pretty much solved all of brushed motor's deficiencies...

I just race with my friends for recreation. Would you prefer high torque with tall gearing or low torque with short gearing? Which is better for battery / motor life and performance?

my 19t is faster than most 13.5 brushless motors on the track.

i just cant drive well enough to use it :rofl:

well first...take you electric car and carry it outside. then put it in the garbage can. then drive to the rc shop and get a nitro car. done lol haha im just kiddin man haha. im all about the gas cars, i got a savage x myself about a year ago and love it. it has like insane toque and its pretty quick too if you tune it right ;)

My problem with nitro's is that it's too noisy to play at night (which is when I do most of my racing) and I like how lightweight the electrics can be (more grip).
