window tint The person I bought my civic from left some sort of stickiness to the back window. I assumed it was the glue from a previous tint job. I tried windexing and it wouldnt come off. I then tried goo be gone, and a little spot came off, but I gave up becasue it just would take too long. Is there anywhere that can remove it for me? I want to get the windows tinted, but cant until i remove this gunk. |
picture would be nice. try the turtle wax bug and tar remover |
Autoglym Tar and Adhesive remover and some plastic razor blades will take care of it easily. Its a messy job, but it'll work. |
paint thinner works |
try rubbing alcohol - i uno how effective it is, buddy had same shit after taking off his tints on the front windows... seems to have worked. GL |
you cant use a razor on the back window because of the defroster lines. the only thing i can remember that larry did was use a strong solution of ammonia (what windex is made from, but a hella lot stronger) let it soak, and scrape off with a plastic scraper and rubb off with ur hands basically. |
ok thanks i will try the ammonia |
where do i get ammonia? Is windex ammonia? |
