UBC commerce transfer from college Does anyone know stuff about transferring to UBC third year commerce from college? On the website it says that you'll need a minimum of 5 core comm courses, but preference will be given to those who have all 7. I have all 7 so far, but i'm thinking of dropping my econ course... does anyone know if it really matters AT ALL that i only have 6? I appreciate your replies  xx [edit] well ok, does anyone have the experience or know someone who was admitted to commerce third year without having all 7 core courses? I think that question is more clear. |
its better to call them to ask since they are the ones looking at ur applications and transcripts... UBC registrar info > rs |

If I'm not mistaken It's too late to drop a course so.. you're out of luck there. Other than that contact UBC registrars office or go to Brock Hall for a drop in appointment with an advisor and speak about this topic. |
So, you're asking whether or not UBC is putting up false information on it's website? |

ohhh do u have a record of many "fail" or "withdrawal" courses? if so be prepared to be quesitoned on "why do u have X withdraw courses" also UBC is diff from SFU they look at the things u do outside school, my friend who had 3.0gpa with volunteer and school team experience transfered to commerce while his friend with 3.3gpa did not. UBC would like to seem how well you manage ur school work. BUT BEST TO TALK TO ADVISOR GOOD LUCK!! |
UBC Commerce is 50%grades and 50% extra curricular in determining whether you get in or not. If you don't have any extra curricular, don't bother applying you won't get in. |
