alternative to uTorrent?

anyone know of a torrent client as an alternative to uTorrent? reason i'm asking is kus it recently stopped working for me(constantly crashing). tried fixing it but no luck. so what are some client programs that are even close to being as good as utorrent?

How is the rest of the system? uTorrent not working may be a symptom of a bigger problem. I'd fix that first.

uTorrent is slowly getting worse and worse as they pull their team off of uTorrent to work on the official Bittorrent client.

That said, I still haven't found anything as good. Vuze (fka Azureus) is a popular alternative.

yeah, i read somewhere while trying to fix utorrent that it might be spyware/virus cuasing the problem. however, to my knowledge everything is running fine, ran a virus and spyware/adware scan and nothing came up. hopefully thats true lol.

anyway, ill give vuze a try

thanks.

why not stop updating and just use an older version? usually when i find a good program i keep it as is. the updates only make me hate it more.

I'm like that too. I've done some updates, then regret it. MSN messenger is one of those things I hate updating, because once you update it the whole interface is different then you have to spend so much time to find the things you could easily find before.

Same with uTorrent. I remember back in the days my utorrent was working great until I updated it then the connections were painfully slow.
