The homeland security laws already permit then, customs can take your laptop/ipod/... and search it, even keep it for a month.

Some companies have instructed employees to travel with bare bones laptops and retrieve everything via VPN when they arrive in the US.

Some believe that in 2012, the internet will first be shut down, than reopened as a paid service that is heavily monitored. This would eliminate all freedom of speech and thus allow some to control mass media.

Could this be the the very first step? I mean, if they can legally look within and search your computer, imagine what kind of things they will find, and be able to prosecute you for, just for the little shit like a copywritten songs....

People were getting their laptop searched when Bush was in office. Flyertalk (travel forum) has many stories about US customs searching and even seizing laptops.

LOL is ok they can do what they want. My laptop only have legal software and I watch steraming online video on it anyways.

I only download movies TV shows games software on my desktop.

all my music is on a SD card anyways so i dont care. ill just hide that somewhere.
