OMG HOW DARE THEY! THEY DON'T LIVE THERE! CHINA IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG AND WE SHOULD SHOOT ANYONE WHO SAYS DIFFERENT!

achiam 03-27-2009 11:56 AM

Shenzhen is far worse than HK. When I stepped out of their airport, the horizon in all directions was orangey/brown/red, and my eyes began to sting.

Alright we fucking get it, you're anti-China or at least Anti-Pro-China. You're not funny, get over yourself.

HK air is terrible, mostly because of Shenzhen. And the humidity. eeeaaach makes it 10x worse.

But then many of the world's great cities have or have had air quality problems. London, Beijing, Rome, Athens, Los Angeles, etc.

J____ 03-27-2009 03:53 PM

beijing still have air problems. just cleared it up slightly for the olympics by shutting down all production factories within a certain radius. im sure its back to its normal "hazy" air now.

!SG 03-27-2009 04:03 PM

air quality does suck...

!Tigger 03-29-2009 09:50 PM

the air quality sucks but you get used to it.

Lol, shit other cities in the world are far worst. The two worst cities I've been to with the worst smog have to be New Delhi and Mumbai. Mumbai is really bad because of the high humidty and raw foul smell of sewage 24/7.

The air here is really bad sometimes, especially during the winter when the air is predominantly from the North. Luckily the low humidity during that time of year keeps it down.

It's funny, I have been living here for 3 years, and twice year we get a week of absolutely beautiful weather - that is during Chinese New Year and Golden Week, when the factories close down in China for a week.

If China didn't exist as they do now, the skies here would be beautiful, probably with the exception of traffic smog that every large city has.

The ironic thing is that many of these factories that are ruining life in Hong Kong are owned by greedy HK businesses that abuse China's corrupt officials and policies.
