What other huge contraptions that are awesome from Japan, other than Gundam? A Evangelion box that distinguishes candles, obviously. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tRUj...layer_embedded The premise, if you have a cubic box, open one end of it with a hole which diameter is 1/3 the length of the box, when you hit the box on the side there's a circular wave that shoots out of the box. a 30cm box is capable of extinguising a candle about 4m away from the box. So the experiment is to build a box at 10m x 10m x 10m and experiment what is the distance at which you can no longer take out a candle..... Experiment was performed in Saitama Super Arena, built with metal frame and taped together with cardboard paper. the "slamming" is done by a whole lot of people in white lab coats. That's why Japanese are so fucking awesome. They did all this for a laugh. I'm gonna build my own air cannon. |
