bctransit and fare zones - would this work i live in port moody and work in vancouver. i just started taking the bus and need to buy a monthly bus pass and thinking that i don't need to buy a 3 zone pass because of how lax the system is and instead buy a 2 zone. i know I'm a cheap bastard but: I get on the c27 in port moody down 1km and still in port moody I jump on the 97 b line that I take to brentwood skytrain to commercial station and get off. i can't see how bctransit could know that I crossed 3 zones instead of 2 since its on skytrain that I cross my third zone. if someone asked me on skytrain where i got on I'd say in burnaby. enlighten me guys. |
sometimes they get on one stop before the zone border to watch for that |
but since its rush hour dont thing cops will check |
I think the back indicates which station you bought the ticket from. Or at least there is some kind of information on the black strip because I've seen alot of bus drivers stop people, when they put in their ticket and they had to pay an upgrade zone fee. |
he is saying monthly pass |
I'm not 100% sure, but when you buy a two zone pass, don't you have to specify whether it's zones 1 & 2 or 2 & 3? http://www.translink.bc.ca/files/sec...arecard-08.jpg |
